Passover Honey Cake Recipe is a simple, one-bowl cake recipe that makes a delicious dessert for Dedication Dinners and other celebrations. I started making this delightful Passover Honey Cake Recipe when I was 12 years old.

How To Make Passover Honey Cake Recipe?


  • 2 3/4 cups cake flour (or gluten-free / wheat-free flour for Passover)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup honey (or Sucanat) can also use maple syrup, molasses or brown sugar. [Honey is best to use for Passover, but this recipe is excellent with any sweetener.]


Step 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepares a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray.

Step 2. In a small dish, mix the salt, baking powder and cinnamon. Set aside.

Step 3. In a large bowl, cream the margarine and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes). 

Step 4. Add eggs in one at a time, beating well after each egg.

Step 5. Add flour mixture and beat just until combined.

Step 6. Pour batter into the prepared springform pan and bake for 50 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.


  • This delicious cake recipe can also be baked in an 8-inch square baking pan. Just adjust the baking time accordingly. 
  • It takes 12 to 16 servings, depending on the size of the slices of cake you cut. This cake will keep well, tightly wrapped, and at room temperature for up to 5 days.
