How To Make Haitian Marinade Recipe?

  • 1/2 Chicken (boned and skinned)

  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 2 large bay leaves

  • 3 cups hot water
  • 1 large onion (chopped)
  • 1 cup chopped carrots (optional), and
  • Parsley leaves


Step-1. Add 2 cups of water to the chopped chicken and bring to a boil. Simmer until the water is absorbed and all the  Yuckiness has been boiled out for about 5 minutes.

Step-2. Mix onion, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, bay leaves, and Worcestershire sauce in a separate, large bowl.

Step-3. Pour olive oil into the chicken and add Worcestershire sauce. Stir in your marinade.

Step-4. Cut up carrots, onion, and parsley leaves. Add to chicken and marinade. Stir together, including chopped shrimp and cheese.

Step-5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator overnight or at least six hours to marinate while the meat is tenderized.

Step-6. Serve cold with rice or mashed potatoes.
