11. Bake for 20 minutes; check by inserting a toothpick into the center to make sure it comes out clean.

12. Turn the oven off and leave the cake in the oven for another hour to cool completely.

13. Place cake on a wire rack to cool completely, dust with unsweetened cocoa powder if desired. 

14. Store at room temperature in an airtight container for 3 days or the refrigerator for 7 days.
