Step-1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prepare four 8-inch round cake pans by spraying with non-stick cooking spray and lining bottoms with parchment paper; set aside. (Preparation To make the cake layers)

Step-5. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and the toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely; then frost with desired frosting.
